उन्होंने लिखा कि शिरोमणि अकाली दल के अध्यक्ष सुखबीर सिंह बादल (Sukhbir Singh Badal) ने नए अध्यक्ष के चुनाव का मार्ग प्रशस्त करने के लिए आज पार्टी की कार्य समिति को अपना इस्तीफा सौंप दिया है. उन्होंने पार्टी के सभी नेताओं और कार्यकर्ताओं को उनके नेतृत्व में विश्वास जताने और पूरे कार्यकाल के दौरान पूर्ण सहयोग और समर्थन देने के लिए धन्यवाद दिया.
